You must have heard that cheaper does not last long it must be exciting and put you in your comfort zone but it is not the one with quality and expensive comes with quality.
Wedding photography is now changed. Their work was ‚ equipment and different from those of the 90s.
The quality is increased and so have the prices.
Earlier wedding photography was just a small thing. Most couples don’t have much knowledge about it but now the couple has wedding photography on their wishlist. It has become an opulence for some weddings.
Wedding photography is now inevitable. A wedding is about certain functions and about one day. Photographers have important responsibility because they have to fulfill the dream of someone who dreamed about their wedding photos. Wedding photography includes a full-day shoot from bridal makeup to the last reception. Furthermore just like caterers or decorator photographer work are not till the wedding but after the wedding too. They have to choose the best photo, edit the RAW and make it flawless.
All this pressure on the wedding photographer to capture the perfect photographs is the reason why wedding photography is expensive
Introduction
Myself Anshuman Mishra. I own a photography firm name “Pleasing portrait” which believes in quality rather than quantity. I have done a lot of work and earned good ratings and also many clients come to me and ask why is wedding photography so expensive. Why do you charge so high?
So now here are a few reasons why wedding photography is expensive.
1. Initial investment
Photographers before setting up their photography business have an expensive initial investment. Their gears Have a big investment. Camera, not just one, lights, lenses, and many more.
A normal camera doesn’t mean that you are a professional photographer for the quality you expect the camera should be of high performing, not the normal one.
Often the charges for wedding photography depend upon the variety of the equipment. There are many other reasons why wedding photography is expensive but this is one of them
2. Editing
Editing is one of the time taking and hectic parts for a wedding photographer. The florists and makeup artists pack up after the wedding but the wedding photographer starts their second step after the wedding. Selecting the best-clicked photo from their treasure and making it more beautiful and flawless through their skills. For a full-day wedding, they have a maximum of 2000-3000 photos and now the photographer needs to choose the best, and selecting takes a lot of time. And now the actual process after selecting start is editing. Sometimes the client is not happy with the edited one then they customize it the way the client wants. From adjusting the light to giving it the final look it takes a lot of time and concentration.
After editing and preparing the wedding album which has printing charges. Making the album attention-grabbing takes a lot of time.
3. Experience and skills
Having gears doesn’t mean you are a professional photographer what matter is skills and experience. Photographers before becoming a professional spend many years in the field for getting their shots perfect for capturing flawless pictures. They always brush up their skills for adding uniqueness and making their work more creative and adding more value all these experiments make the photographer “professional”
You are paying for their experience. The skillful and experienced photographer will charge you more. But it is all worth it the last after all you are getting the perfect memories to store forever.
4. Small hurdles
Wedding photography is challenging It is difficult to get a perfect shot in a room full of guests in such a distracting situation they have to capture a couple flawlessly. The venue is s big hall where people are wandering all over it gets difficult to capture the full event and capturing the best moments among many requires a lot of concentration.
Time – A wedding will never go according to the plan if it 8-hour event it will surely become 12 hours on the final day. The photographer has to cover the continuously whole event without any breaks. They constantly put all their efforts to filter out and capture the special moments. Every moment is important and they can’t afford to miss any.
So it is completely fair if they are charging you more because you are paying for their efforts to capture you.
Conclusion
So now you must know the reason why wedding photography is so expensive. Aside from this, there are many other reasons too. Paying a good amount of money for getting quality pictures and the forever memory that brings a smile whenever you see it is not wrong.
