The furniture business continues to thrive as the demand for home and office accommodation develops across India. Be it offices or people redesigning or buying new homes; everyone buys new furniture. India’s growing economy and it’s vast, rapidly growing urban population are a few reasons why our country’s furniture business is flourishing.
If you know your passion and are determined to reach your dream, hard work and consistency are the keys to your success. This is the message by which Nischay always abides. Nischay Koushal is a determined entrepreneur who always wanted to be in business. His parents were in the medical industry. But their early demise affected him deeply. Yet, Nischay was determined and wasn’t ready to succumb to the circumstances. He was prepared to create a new beginning and fight for a brighter future.
Nischay always wanted to establish his own business and had remarkable leadership skills. He built a furniture business from scratch. Nischay’s success hasn’t been without challenges, “My biggest challenge has been a shortage of working space, and organizing the raw construction materials industry.” Realizing the need for space-saving customized furniture, Nischay founded Adeckko in 2011.
One day he saw a Facebook post of a woman searching for a shoe rack. As he reached out to her, she inquired whether he could make it for her and deliver it to Jalandhar. Nischay agreed and received the complete advance payment the following day. They delivered the shoe rack within two weeks of receiving the order. Before delivering the item, they had a photoshoot of the shoe rack, and the photos were uploaded on Facebook. Those photos welcomed a considerable number of queries within 24-48 hours. These queries were soon converted to leads.
Nischay wanted to explore the plywood and raw construction material sector next. He helped Adeckko bring plywood and cement sales to an EMI mode and credit system. This was a unique idea being done for the first time in India. Nischay was mindful of the cash crunch a middle-class family faces during the home construction. He’s well aware that as most people live in apartments nowadays, there will be a lack of open space. In COVID times, no one wants workers in their homes due to safety reasons.
He added the products to his website and an android app making the entire process hassle-free. This option was not only economical but also transparent. Thus, he wanted to establish a system to help others struggling with the same. He plans to expand the raw material business pan India. Helping the middle-class and the lower-class people avoid corruption and struggle in this segment is his aim.
Adeckko has collaborated with brands like BluDart and provides shipping of customized furniture pan India. They began their journey with shoe cabinets and have now expanded to custom-made furniture In 2020, Nischay applied to the DPIIT Startup India initiative and got recognition for Adeckko. The brand is well aware of the shipping problems in raw materials such as plywood and cement.
